What We Do
Our approach is pro-nature, pro-people, pro-action and pro-innovation. We believe that lasting environmental change is achieved by combining ecological restoration, community participation and practical education. We bring this approach to life through three interconnected programmes.

Ecological Restoration
Healthy ecosystems begin with healthy landscapes.
We remove invasive alien vegetation, restore indigenous forests and fynbos, and plant endemic tree species that enhance biodiversity, improve carbon sequestration and rebuild natural habitats. Working alongside volunteers, conservation organisations and local communities, we transform restoration into a shared journey of learning, connection and meaningful environmental action.

Wildlife Corridors
Wildlife thrives when nature is connected.
We establish and maintain wildlife corridors that reconnect fragmented ecosystems, allowing animals and birds to move safely between habitats while strengthening biodiversity and improving ecosystem resilience. By working collaboratively with ecologists and neighbouring landowners, we help create landscapes that can flourish for generations to come.

Regenerative Living
Long-term environmental change begins with people.
Through practical education, permaculture, regenerative agriculture and sustainability workshops, we empower individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills to live more harmoniously with nature. Our annual Rootsong Earth Celebration — a separate gathering hosted by the same team — provides a vibrant platform where environmental organisations, educators, innovators and community members come together to share ideas, celebrate nature and inspire positive action.
